"Improving Cancer Pain Relief in the World: 1997-1999," is a report on three years of work by the World Health Organization Collaborating Center for Policy and Communications in Cancer Care, which is located here at the University of Wisconsin Pain & Policy Studies Group.
During this period, the Center worked with 9 national governments and non-governmental organizations in 21 countries in Asia, Latin America and Europe. We accomplish our work through a program of policy research, development and demonstration, as well as through a communications program, the centerpiece of which is the publication of Cancer Pain Release, a quarterly WHO newsletter.
